Stepping into Marquise Coffee Shop, you'll instantly be enveloped by the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, a scent that beckons coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with a quaint seating area downstairs, perfect for a quick escape or a leisurely coffee catch-up with friends. As one customer, Vikram S, aptly noted, it’s a "cute little coffee shop right next to the Waldorf hotel," making it an ideal stop for both locals and tourists seeking that postcard-perfect London experience.

The coffee here isn’t just good; it’s exceptional. Customers rave about the variety and quality, with a focus on bold flavors and smooth finishes. As mentioned by Singh FFM, the coffee is "full of flavor – just the way it should be." Pair your cup of joe with the shop's celebrated banana bread, which multiple reviews describe as "to die for." It’s moist, perfectly balanced, and crafted with such care that each bite becomes a moment of bliss. Dilayla Kopuz and others sing its praises, indicating that it may just be the star of the show.

The menu at Marquise extends beyond coffee, featuring an array of high-quality pastries that keep patrons coming back for more. Whether you fancy a sumptuous mince pie bakewell slice, as Grace Libby did, or are simply in the mood for a perfectly crafted latte, you’re sure to find something that will tantalize your taste buds.

What truly sets Marquise Coffee Shop apart is the exceptional service; the friendly staff, as noted by Grant Shapiro, enhances the experience, making every visit feel welcoming and personal. Kat B's mention of the owner's impressive latte art skills showcases the dedication to not just coffee but the overall aesthetic and experience as well.

A cute little coffee shop right next to Waldorf hotel. Cheerful staff, great coffee; that is all you want. Good bakery options as well. Plenty of seating is available downstairs.

Delicious high quality pastries, selection of coffee and great service. We tried all there coffee, one of their desserts, and everything was de-li-cious. Highly recommended!!

BANANA BREAD IS TO DIE FOR An absolute gem of a coffee shop. The coffee is consistently exceptional — rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the food. Everything is incredibly fresh and flavourful, with ingredients that taste like they’ve come straight from the market that morning. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or staying to savour your flat white, it’s the kind of place that instantly becomes your go-to. Highly recommend!

After struggling to find a place that wasn't extremely busy in nearby Covent Garden I stumbled across this little cafe and I'm so glad I did. I had a lot of coffees while in London and this was by far the best, the mince pie bakewell slice was lovely too. The person running it was friendly and it has a small seating area downstairs too which I found very peaceful.

A true hidden gem! The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee itself is bold, smooth, and full of flavor – just the way it should be. But the real star of the show is the banana bread – moist, perfectly balanced, and baked with so much love that you can taste it in every bite. Paired with a cappuccino, it’s simply perfection. The staff are warm and attentive, making you feel like more than just a customer. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee break or looking to relax for a while, this is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!”
